One Year Ago Today...

This was one of about five videos we took documenting the progress (or lack thereof) of Brecken's projected due date. Although he didn't arrive for another two days, the date remains a special one, and is incredibly nostalgic to reflect on a year later. I selected this video to share with you because the others had about an extra minute of Lola footage. EACH. *cough*Brian*cough*. :-)

Watching this video, it's almost hard for me to believe that my belly was ever THAT large. Let's be honest, it's  uncomfortable to look at! Maybe that memory block is nature's way of keeping the human race going. I mean, who in their right mind would try for another if they could remember such things clearly (particularly labor- YIKES)? Truth be told, the incredible little person at the end of that 10-month journey was worth it... a MILLION TIMES OVER. Nothing could have prepared us for the overwhelming amount of love we were about to experience within the next 48 hours.

(May I also point out that those were Brian's shorts I was wearing! I remember we were having a crazy-ridiculous heat wave and I adamantly REFUSED to pay money for new maternity shorts that I would only be able to wear for a few days, at best. Oh, and our family room looked soo naked! And disorganized. Embarrassing.)

Two more days to go!!

This brings back such great memories. It's too that I missed getting some great footage of Gary in this particular video though. Maybe on Wednesday night we should stay up until 5 in the morning to continue this walk down nostalgia lane!
